December 13, 2005 UMBI Scientist Speaks About Nano and Biotechnology Baltimore, MD - Dr. Bill Bentley from UMBI's Center for Biosystems Research was a featured speaker at today's "Nano and Biotechnology: A Winning Combination, A New Growth Industry", organized by the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) and University System of Maryland. Dr. Bentley provided the audience with an insiders view of nanotechnology and gave updates on some of the work currently being done at University System of Maryland institutions. Dr. Bentley has a joint appointment at the Biomolecular and Metabolic Engineering Laboratories at University of Maryland, College Park. USM Chancellor Dr. William "Brit" Kirwan opened today's program and introduced Dr. Bentley and Dr. Mauro Ferrari, Edgar Hendrickson Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Ohio State University and Special Expert in Nanotechnology, National Cancer Institute.
