October 7, 2005 COMB Hosts 2005 Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences Colloquium October 7-8 Baltimore, MD- UMBI's Center of Marine Biotechnology was the host for the 2005 Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences (MEES) Colloquium, October 7-8. This was the second time COMB has hosted the MEES Colloquium. Graduate students displayed their research posters to show the variety of topics they have been working on. The MEES graduate program offers master of science and doctoral degrees covering restoration ecology, aquaculture, fisheries management, oceanography, marine biotechnology, toxicology, environmental chemistry, remote sensing, and landscape ecology. The MEES program collaborates with National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Smithsonian Institute, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, the National Zoo, and other widely recognized research organizations.
