UMBI's Director of Information Technology Presents at EDUCAUSE Conference

BALTIMORE, MD – UMBI’s Director of Information Technology, Mansur Hasib was a presentor at the EDUCAUSE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference held this week in Baltimore. His presentation topic covered, "Combining Policy, Practice and Technology to Architect Layered Network Security." Hasib stated that while security implementation is a continuing process, organizations can implement adequate levels of security if they consciously identify the layers at which to implement network security. They can then develop goals, policies, practices and plans in a priority order determined by their organizational requirements and can implement technology which addresses their goals and allows their policies to be implemented.
