Post-Doctoral Research
Individuals seeking postdoctoral appointments should contact the appropriate Faculty member to ascertain mutual interest. In addition, current openings are listed on the Faculty job openings page under the title of "Research Associate", UMBI unit "CARB" or "CBR off-site".

CARB, in association with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), is eligible to accept postdoctoral fellows funded by the National Research Council (NRC). NRC postdoctoral research fellowships are for two years and provide a generous stipend, as well as an allowance for travel and books. U.S. Citizenship is required. Doctoral Research
Individuals interested in Ph.D. studies can work at CARB through our affiliation with the Molecular and Cell Biology Program (MOCB) program at the University of Maryland, College Park. More information can be obtained at the MOCB website http://www.life.umd.edu/grad/mocb/.

Undergraduate
Part-time training opportunities are available to undergraduate students for laboratory, office and administrative work. Please email your resume and cover letter to carbsrch@umbi.umd.edu.

High School
A small internship program is open to outstanding, highly motivated Montgomery County high school students through the DNA Resource Center at Thomas S. Wootton High School. The internship program includes a stipend for summer work under a faculty advisor, followed by work for credit during the academic year. Written and oral presentations by students are required.
