Sponsored research has more than doubled in the same interval, while the number of issued patents has risen over 400 percent. Perhaps most heartening of all, is the fact that UMBI is recovering in the form of revenues an increasing portion of the amount it spends to protect its investors' discoveries. This is an indication that UMBI is becoming increasingly efficient at commercializing technologies that can benefit mankind and nature for years to come.
